Proverbs describes the sluggard. This word only appears in the book of Proverbs and it is used exclusively within the context of work. They can and should be working but they choose not to. The sluggard buries his hand in the dish; he is too lazy to bring it back to his mouth. The sluggard is wiser in his own eyes than seven men who answer discreetly.

I still remember the first time I read through the book of Proverbs and I was fascinated that there were so many proverbs about money. The book is full of so much amazing wisdom and thankfully for us all, the Bible says a lot about money. It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest. Those who work hard are more likely to be successful from a financial standpoint. Trusting in God for our sustenance is a good step toward remembering where the money comes from, which should lead to humility rather than a belief in our own abilities to grow wealth in our own strength.
